Today would have been the first day of the Royal Cornwall Show – if Covid-19 hadn’t turned our world upside down ☹️
We’re missing our “wedding marquee” family and all the wonderful engaged couples too, but we understand how important it is that everyone stays safe and well. We’ll also miss sneaking out to the food trucks and sampling the locally made chocolate & cakes in the food marquee (yum!). But if you’re trying to plan your wedding right now you don’t need to miss out on our annual show offer.
Get in touch to check our availability and we’ll tell you all about it 😊

Community over competition 💙
We’ve all had work cancelled or postponed and it’s an uncertain future out there. So it was fab to take part in this pass-the-camera video by the Women in Photography Devon & Cornwall Group 😁

Oh my goodness what a year 2019 was for Iconik Photography! We stayed mostly in Cornwall and Devon work-wise (not intentionally it just happened that way) and were lucky enough to visit some new places and some old favourites 🙂
We had brand new venues and historic venues. From majestic hotels and naval bases to marquees, beaches to barns and castles to cow sheds. We photographed through heatwaves, torrential downpours and even a storm! There were tiny weddings and huge weddings. We danced to acoustic singers, cheesy discos and swing bands (all hail the amazing Company B!).
Our brides and grooms came from as far away as New Zealand and Canada to get married in this beautiful corner of the UK. There were young farmers & marine biologists, school teachers, artists & naval officers. We were honoured to photograph the weddings of many local people too and, as usual, were hugely impressed by the partying skills of Cornish farmers!
(more…)Sam & Matt’s wedding day at The Cow Shed started with blue sky and bright sunshine, which is just how we like it. Ok we had heard tell of torrential rain later, but The Cow Shed at Freathy is a fabulous rustic wedding venue and September is usually not-too-bad, so we cheerfully ignored all of that!
Back on the hottest July day imaginable, we photographed a styled elopement at the stunning Trenderway in Looe. And when I say hottest day I really mean it! But sunburn aside, it was an amazing collaboration with some fabulous local suppliers. The idea was to show how the most important member of the family – your beloved pooch! – doesn’t have to miss out on your big day. So we were all just a little bit excited to see our shoot feature on the fabulous @englishweddingblog !!
Elopements can be whatever you want them to be. Ours had a beautiful beaded dress, a tweed suit, an outdoors ceremony, a cream tea served as a picnic, a table-for-two set with a lace cloth and handmade pottery, a green leather jacket, and stack of pancakes as a wedding cake and “pupcakes” for the pooch!
Huge thanks to Amica Bridal in Plymouth for the last-minute loan of the amazing dress and of course to the star of the show, Indy the Hungarian Vizla! 🙂
(more…)On a fabulously hot summer day at the end of August, I had the privilege of photographing Natalie & Jason’s beautiful wedding at the Carbis Bay Hotel.
It’s not long before our yearly jaunt to the Wadebridge showground! We’ll be in the wedding marquee with a lot of other fabulous suppliers and some amazing special offers for our wedding photography. The show is on from 6th to 8th of June. Put it in your diaries!!
Christmas is a distant memory, dry January done & dusted and, if you happen to have school age children, it may be dawning on you that the half term holiday is here again (“what??!!! They only went back to school 5 minutes ago…….”).
It’s February and that can only mean one thing; Valentine’s Day!! That day in the year so anticipated & dreaded in equal measure. From gloating schoolfriends to smug singletons in the office (and lets not forget that particularly annoying colleague with the husband who always sends a dozen red roses. To work!) it’s never nice to be the one who doesn’t receive anything.
