So much fun, is how we’d describe Kate & Paddy’s gorgeous day at Ever After on Dartmoor! It is the most beautiful venue with amazing photo opportunities everywhere. In fact we had real trouble deciding which images to blog!
Kate has to be one of the most serene and chilled out brides we’ve ever photographed. The day dawned bright & sunny and we ignored the rain forecast for later. Robb headed off to the church and I hopped on the bus with bridesmaids and guests. Full credit to the choir too, who sang Adele’s ‘make you feel my love’ beautifully during the signing of the register.
Back at Ever After the guests relaxed in the gorgeous surroundings while we disappeared off for some Bride & Groom shots by the river. By their own admission Kate & Paddy are quite a soppy couple – we’d say romantic! – and they entered into the spirit of the shoot. Even Paddy enjoyed himself, and apparently he doesn’t like having his photo taken! The promised rain arrived at the best possible time, driving everyone indoors to enjoy the wedding breakfast. It was so cosy inside with the fire lit and the rain outside!
Usually when the rain starts everyone stays put. Not Kate and her friends & colleagues from Britannic Royal Naval College Dartmouth. I’m not sure who decided it would be a good idea to jump in the river, but they all did it. Judging by the shrieks I think it was pretty cold!
The rain came down even harder, but Kate & Paddy were happy to pop outside under an umbrella for even more pictures, and I’m glad they did. The bridge is such a lovely romantic area it was completely worth it.
Back inside they realised that they hadn’t yet chosen a first dance song (as I said, very chilled!). A quick decision on “fight song” and they did the dance floor proud! We absolutely loved the whole day with them, such lovely family & friends too. Kate & Paddy we wish you all the best for a fabulous future together xx
