Quite an amazing wedding this one! And apologies in advance for putting up so many images, but I just couldn’t narrow it down any more. We were worried about the rain on the horizon, but in the end it was the gale force winds that kept us inside all day. Fortunately the interior of the The Atlantic Hotel is rather fabulous so we just had to settle for dramatic!

Shelley looked absolutely stunning in the most gorgeous fluffy Maggie Sottero dress, and as for Dan – well who doesn’t love a handsome groom in a tux?!

We had great fun with a lovely Bride & Groom, their wonderful families & friends, and all in a fabulous location. It was great to meet Ben from Foster Filming as well. Its hard work being wedding photographers in Cornwall (honest!) but we love it 🙂

A very sunny & bright sky emerged in the middle of February for Amy & Lee’s special day. Its always lovely to photograph a church wedding, St Nicholas & Faith Church in Saltash is one of our favourites, and Amy looked so glam that Lee just couldn’t take his eyes off her when she glided up the aisle! The boys all looked rather smart too – and what a brilliant job they did in transforming the reception venue with oodles of sparkle.

Being a wedding photographer in Cornwall is always fun and we just don’t know what we’ll be photographing on the day. The brilliant cake topper (& Amy’s surprise Saltash Rugby Club themed garter) rather reflected Lee’s love of the game and was just perfect! Wishing you both (and all those beautiful daughters!) a very happy life together x

Plymouth Herald Featured Editorial – How to Choose a Photographer

Well I don’t really like having my photo taken – much prefer to be behind the camera photographing beautiful weddings in Cornwall & Devon – but it was nice to be featured in the Plymouth Herald’s Weekend supplement as a bit of an expert! Another simply gorgeous day for a wedding in Cornwall with another stunning bride! Victoria & Simon put oodles of effort into their vintage inspired wedding. I think everyone will agree that Victoria’s dress is one of the prettiest around. Even the registrar was lost for words! There were so many vintage & personalised touches it was hard to know what to photograph first, but full marks have to go to Simon for his beautiful hand-drawn images of local cornish beaches x

Natalie & Ryan at Boringdon Park Golf Club

We were really looking forward to Natalie & Ryan’s wedding for lots of reasons: we already know Natalie’s family (having photographed sister Nicola’s wedding back in 2010) and they’re lovely lovely people. Boringdon Park Golf Club in Plymouth is a brilliant venue and the scenery is spectacular. Natalie is great fun and extremely photogenic…I could go on and on! Its a real perk of being a wedding photographer when you get to photograph a family more than once. Natalie & Ryan’s son Callum provided the highlight for me, his speech was unexpected and brilliant and deservedly received the best applause! The day was fantastic from start to finish – we just knew it would be…

Wedding Photography in Cornwall and…………………….Ice Cream??!!

Now I know I’ve said before that there are lots of perks to being a wedding photographer in cornwall…….but on a sunny day you just can’t beat ice-cream! Admittedly it can be difficult juggling cameras and a cone of ferrero rocher (note favourite flavour there) but believe me when the ice-cream comes from Mr B’s in Hayle an effort has to be made. If you’re after something a little different to surprise your wedding guests then their vintage van is a must. And if you’re just out and about in Hayle do pop into the shop. I warn you though, its almost impossible to choose just one flavour…and then there are the delicious ice-cream cakes…..yum! Wedding plans hadn’t gone altogether smoothly for this lovely couple, with last-minute changes to both the church & reception venues! But everything came together on the day and a huge amount of family & friends joined them for a lively ceremony at the Christian Centre in Plymouth (with some seriously good musicians too!). The Thurlestone Hotel once again proved to be a great venue and we even managed to squeeze the wedding car down the rather narrow road to the beach for some stunning shots. In spite of the rather chilly wind, Naomi bravely took off her coat to show off her gorgeous dress – and looked extremely glamorous while doing so! Its always great to see friends & family enjoying themselves, well we had a great day too and wish them a long & happy life together x
