HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK?
We take bookings up to two years in advance of a wedding date, so get in touch with us as soon as possible after your venue etc has been confirmed. We regularly receive enquiries for dates that are already booked, especially May, June & September dates, and we hate to disappoint.
WE ARE ORGANISING OUR WEDDING AT THE LAST MINUTE! CAN YOU HELP US?
Don’t panic! Although we do take bookings up to two years in advance, we very often have last-minute wedding dates available. At the start of each year we block out some dates in our diary for family time, but very often we’ll free up some of these dates as we go. We release these dates on social media throughout the year and it means that we can accommodate some last-minute bookings. The best way to check if we’re available is simply to ask us! If we’re not available we’re happy to contact fellow trusted professionals and pass on their details to you.
WE'RE ELOPING!! CAN YOU HELP?
Of course we can, and this would probably be the right time to confess that we LOVE elopements! Elopement weddings require a slightly different approach, and it’s definitely a good idea to get on well with your photographer if there are only 3 of you! Occasionally our eloping couples bring a handful of close family members with them, and that’s just as much fun.
WILL THERE BE TWO PHOTOGRAPHERS?
For our standard wedding packages we (Natalie & Robb) will both be there on the day. We are both professional photographers with oodles of experience in photographing weddings. If your package is bespoke – or an elopement – and only requires one photographer then Natalie will be there on the day.
WHAT CAN WE EXPECT FROM OUR PICTURES?
Our style is reportage – very natural. We are as unobtrusive as possible so that we can capture images as the day unfolds instead of posing & staging everything. After all, its your day not ours! And of course we’re also happy to photograph formal groups. We are very much bespoke photographers – which is probably why we won the Westcountry Wedding Award for Best Bespoke Photography! Our brand is very important to us and every image you receive will have been individually selected and edited, by us, in our signature style.
We understand that many people get nervous when a camera is pointed at them so our aim is to blend in, then present your finished gallery with a mix of images that tell the story of your day.
WHAT AREAS DO YOU COVER?
Travel within Cornwall & South Devon on the big day is included in our standard package prices. For individually tailored weddings or travel further afield there may be a small additional mileage charge, and if its quite a big distance we might also require accommodation. But we love travelling to new venues – just ask!
HOW DO WE BOOK YOU FOR OUR WEDDING IN CORNWALL, DEVON OR ANYWHERE ELSE?
Get in touch with your wedding date and details – phone, email or via our contact form. If we’re available (hooray!) and you’d like to meet up for a look at our gorgeous albums, we can arrange an informal meeting over a cup of coffee. If you don’t live locally (and many of our lovely couples don’t) we can skype or just have a good old fashioned chat over the phone.
CAN WE PRINT OUR PICTURES OURSELVES?
As part of your standard full or half day package from us you will receive a usb with all of your final edited images in jpeg format. And absolutely yes you can print them. The images are print-resolution and don’t have our logo. They are fully licenced for your non-commercial use. Feel free to use them for Facebook and other social media too, but we’d love a credit!
CAN WE HAVE AN ALBUM?
Of course you can! We have carefully selected a handful of manufacturers for their product quality & customer service. These books are only available to professional photographers, and you are under no obligation to order one from us. But if you would like to add a professionally printed album or storybook to your photography package, we have a beautiful range to choose from.
CAN WE HAVE A PRE-WEDDING PHOTOSHOOT?
Absolutely yes! Our pre-wedding photoshoots are a great way to get used to the camera and practise some poses ahead of the big day. We offer a complimentary pre-wedding photoshoot for the bride & groom with our full-price full-day package. If you have booked a smaller or discounted/special offer package but would like a photoshoot, we can add one on for £150. All sessions are subject to availability – so book them in quick. They usually last around 1 hour and images will be supplied as fully-edited digital jpeg files. Unfortunately we cannot offer Saturdays for pre-wedding sessions (for obvious reasons!) and Sunday availability is extremely limited.
WHAT ARE YOUR WORKING HOURS?
On a wedding day the answer is simple – all the hours that you have booked us for! The rest of the time we keep our office hours to a fairly standard 9 to 5. But we’re happy to be helpful, so if you’d like a meeting, telephone or skype call at any other time we’ll be delighted to schedule them in.
CAN WE ADD EXTRA HOURS TO OUR PACKAGE?
Of course! If you think you may need extra coverage on the day we can add an hour or two (or three!). Additional hours are charged at £99 each and include both photographers.
SOMEONE SAID WE NEED THE 'RAW' FILES TOO. WHAT ARE THEY AND CAN WE HAVE THEM?
A raw digital file is the modern equivalent of an old-fashioned negative. Unprocessed, unfinished and extremely high-resolution files direct from the image sensor of a digital camera. Raw images are not included with our packages as they are literally our raw material. We provide jpeg files that are fully edited in our style, ready to print and show off. DO YOU HAVE INSURANCE?
Yes, with Aaduki Multimedia. As full-time professionals this is very important. We are also members of the Federation of Small Business (FSB) and Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers (SWPP) and having professional insurance is a requirement of our membership.
