Anna & Desh’s (actually Andrew but who are we to argue with a nickname!) sunny October wedding was just so much fun. Anna slightly overran at the hairdressers in the morning – well she had warned me that timekeeping wasn’t her strong point 🙂 – but it really didn’t matter because I got time to chat with the Tuk Tuk driver! Meanwhile Robb met up with Desh and the boys at the Cathedral (ok pub first!) for some photos. Anna wanted to keep everything very relaxed & reportage and we were happy to oblige. (more…)
Westcountry Wedding Awards
Morwenna & Steve at St Petrocs Padstow & The Carnmarth Hotel Newquay
Another great couple and a beautiful Cornish day for a wedding! The church of St Petroc proved to be a stunning venue for a highly entertaining ceremony courtesy of Fr. Malkinson. The bridesmaids were extremely cute and we thoroughly approved of the ‘cadbury purple’ colour scheme. My guess that Morwenna is a bit of a choccoholic was spot on later when the favours turned out to be huge bars of Dairy Milk!
Off to the Carnmarth Hotel in Newquay (with a quick beach stop enroute) and we still couldn’t believe how lucky we were with the weather. On days like this being a wedding photographer in Cornwall is an absolute dream!
After some highly amusing speeches we left everyone to enjoy the rest of their day. We just know everyone had a great time!

Nicola & Keith at St Lalluwy & The Lanhydrock Hotel & Golf Club
Another beautiful Cornish day for a wedding! At the end of August 2014 we were lucky enough to photograph the wedding of these two wonderful people 🙂 Its a bonus that we knew them already, having photographed the wedding of Nicola’s brother Nathan to the beautiful Kerry back in 2012.
After the church service Nicola was keen to have some photos taken at her family farm, and we were more than happy to oblige. Even the cows showed an interest though I’m pretty sure they were just hoping for food!
On to the Lanhydrock Hotel and Golf Club, and a beautifully decorated room. There were many oo’s and aah’s at the completely fabulous cake: Cornish pastys and a Welsh dragon were inspired decorations that just looked too good to eat.
A stunning venue for any wedding day and an absolute gift for any wedding photographer in Cornwall.

Jessica & Paul at St Mellion Golf & Country Club
Back in August 2014 we photographed the simply beautiful wedding of Jessica & Paul at St Mellion International Resort near Saltash in Cornwall . These two really just wanted to enjoy their day! Lovely families to work with, and the beautiful venue… what more could a Cornwall wedding photographer ask for 🙂

Trash-The-Dress in Cornwall or Devon
What a week of weird weather its been. Scorching sunshine followed by monsoon-worthy rain and lightning!
It’s the ideal time of year for a Trash-The-Dress photoshoot though. Not as scary as it sounds (and the dresses do survive…honest!). Favourite location for our lovely brides seems to be the beach – must be those inner mermaids longing to break free – but we love the moors too. It doesn’t matter either if we didn’t photograph your wedding. Its just a great excuse to get back into that gorgeous dress for some fabulous pictures. Grooms welcome too (if you can persuade them..!).

Shelley & Dan at The Atlantic Hotel Newquay
Quite an amazing wedding this one! And apologies in advance for putting up so many images, but I just couldn’t narrow it down any more. We were worried about the rain on the horizon, but in the end it was the gale force winds that kept us inside all day. Fortunately the interior of the The Atlantic Hotel is rather fabulous so we just had to settle for dramatic!
Shelley looked absolutely stunning in the most gorgeous fluffy Maggie Sottero dress, and as for Dan – well who doesn’t love a handsome groom in a tux?!
We had great fun with a lovely Bride & Groom, their wonderful families & friends, and all in a fabulous location. It was great to meet Ben from Foster Filming as well. Its hard work being wedding photographers in Cornwall (honest!) but we love it 🙂

Amy & Lee at St Nicholas & Faith Church Saltash
A very sunny & bright sky emerged in the middle of February for Amy & Lee’s special day. Its always lovely to photograph a church wedding, St Nicholas & Faith Church in Saltash is one of our favourites, and Amy looked so glam that Lee just couldn’t take his eyes off her when she glided up the aisle! The boys all looked rather smart too – and what a brilliant job they did in transforming the reception venue with oodles of sparkle.
Being a wedding photographer in Cornwall is always fun and we just don’t know what we’ll be photographing on the day. The brilliant cake topper (& Amy’s surprise Saltash Rugby Club themed garter) rather reflected Lee’s love of the game and was just perfect! Wishing you both (and all those beautiful daughters!) a very happy life together x

Such a fantastic evening yesterday at the Guildhall in Plymouth at the Westcountry Wedding Awards. We even shared the best table(!) with fabulous people from The Alverton Hotel (http://thealverton.co.uk/) , Amanda K Bridal Boutique & World Inspired Tents. And we don’t usually sing our own praises but…..WE WON!!! Big smiley faces all round 🙂
Its the first time we’ve ever entered for an award and because the standard of entries was so high with all the talented photographers here in the westcountry, we are genuinely honoured to win and were just a little bit stunned as our name was read out! (more…)
